It might look like it would be more at home on the moon, but the space-aged Extra Terrestrial Vehicle (ETV, for short) will be unveiled at the MPH show in London's Earls Court on November 4.
The show car is one of only four in existence and the only example that will be on public display for the foreseeable future.
Details are sketchy at this stage, but we do know that it will have Lamborghini style gullwing doors and hidden wheels.
The ETV has been supplied to the show by the London Motor Museum and the cockpit has a right-hand drive layout, so it's suitable for the UK market.
The remaining three ETVs are privately owned, but we may see more of them in future. All we know about the engine for the moment is that it's 'basic', but there are plans to develop the ETV into a powerful eco-car, probably using an electric drivetrain.
In addition to the ETV, the London Motor Museum will display the world's first Street Rod supercars on its MPH stand.
The pair of 'Nite Black' and 'Day White' classic Ford Zephyrs are hand made and worth £500,000 and £250,000 respectively. Each car also has diamond-encrusted wheels, a 5.3-litre V8 engine and an in-car iPad. Seemphshow.co.uk for more details and ticketing information.
